English version
I’ve often asked myself this question and answered it for myself during the coronavirus period: „There’s no reason, it makes no sense. It’s just another form of self-expression. „
This groundbreaking realisation was also the reason to delete a well-running blog with over a thousand followers as well as all social media accounts.
It’s been quite a while now I’ve created new FB and Instagram accounts and in between I’ve always had new approaches to blogging. Always with the result…and what’s the point? It was difficult for me to find my personal reason. This was possibly because most blogs I know have the ambition to be as commercially successful as possible, to generate customers. In the case of blogs that deal with art, including my old, deleted blog, these are collectors or participants in workshops and courses.
I didn’t want that anymore and that’s how my perplexity came about. On the one hand, there was my passion for writing and the desire to communicate and yes, the need to share my thoughts. On the other hand, a kind of weariness, a reluctance. The feeling of needing to stop promotion, to stop self-promotion. In the end, I have now found my personal path.
This blog is a personal blog, a kind of diary.
As I rarely get round to blogging during the day, the title
„Evening Talk“ seems appropriate. Naturally, an artist’s blog is primarily concerned with art, but I also want to write about the private things I experienced during the day that moved me, touched me, made me think.
Simply chat. Whatever, having a kind of conversation with myself and the reader. This blog is not intended to earn money in the slightest, it is only for my written self-talk. It may also serve to gain knowledge, but that remains to be seen.
